Inspired by a father-painter, Frederic is interested in drawing and painting at an early age. He studied visual arts at the University of Aix-en-Provence.
After his studies, he went to live in the south of Spain where he met artisans: leather work, silk painting, jewelry making ... They learned how to fashion leather accessories (belts, bags) and Experiments the work of enamels cold (same aesthetic effect as enamel without cooking). He attended a porcelain painting workshop and learned this technique. Quickly, the desire to move on to the realization of canvases is felt.
He returned from time to time to France where the landscapes of the South inspired him. In the early 2000s, he made a decisive encounter with a collector of paintings. The latter encouraged him to take an interest in the masters of the Provencal schools and the Barbizon school of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.
Frédéric fell in love with this painting and decided to bring his touch of modernity. He uses bright colors to energize representations of streets, ports or beaches inspired by Eugène Boudin (landscape designer of the nineteenth century).
Frederick tends almost to the abstract with his stylized representations. To find the glitter of the colors of the enamels, he associates tiny pearls of glasses with his painting in oil.
He practices a joyful and colorful painting. His works dusted off the traditional subjects of the past. Like his philosophy of life, Frédéric wishes to transmit gentleness, gaiety and harmony thanks to his painting.
