Branding goes beyond a logo and a slogan: good brands inspire and empower, and now, thanks to social media, we're all our own brands. (Whether we like it or not.) If we want to grow our social media following, sell more product, make better content, turn our hobby blog into a career, or just learn a little more about ourselves, the story we need to tell is already there—it just takes a bit of practice to uncover it.
In this workshop, you'll learn how to discover the story behind your brand then leverage it into great content and, in turn, growth. We'll discuss the basics of branding and what it means on a personal level, complete exercises on the overarching nature of brand storytelling, learn how to apply to all facets of your brand story to your content, and hear some beginner's tips for marketing and pitching.

What can I bring into the event?
Bring yourself, an internet-enabled device (yes, we'll be browsing Instagram together so an iPhone will do!) a notebook and pen or whatever other method you prefer for note-taking, and any questions you've had about branding—there will be a time for Q&A.
